I twisted my foot very badly - turned out I actually fractured it.

1st metatarsal fracture - will have to see the orthopedic doctor tomorrow to see what treatment to go through. But I can tell you this - I am on crutches and I HATE it. I'd rather walk with an airboot or something.

I already visited Urgent Care got the Xrays, and gave me the diagnosis. Put on some sort of splint but it doesn't keep my foot still because when I try to walk around on crutches, it's just too hard not to walk on it.

Now, that just sounds awful. I hope they can fix you up with a walking boot or some such.

Try to be patient! Hell, I know that's not easy...

You WILL heal.

Hope you can get an airboot and not a cast because if you are careful you can take the airboot off once in a while when sitting. In the meantime stay off it, learn to use the crutches without putting your foot down. It can be the difference between surgery, pins and screws.
