CNN New York - Amazon.com went to "Code Red" when one of its main servers went down for over two hours. "We initially thought it was a DOS ("Denial of Service") attack from either Russia or China, but later found out it was simply the servers being over-taxed by the overwhelming demand for CaliforniaPeggy's new coffee table book, "F-Stops & F-Bombs."
Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos told CNN reporters that he's not surprised. "With only two weeks to go until Christmas, people are looking for distinctive, quality gifts. This book certainly meets those requirements."
The 150 page book is selling on Amazon for $49.95, and contains the poetry and photography of CaliforniaPeggy. The title comes from a combination of photographers' lingo and Peggy's penchant for dropping f-bombs at the drop of a hat, such as the chapter entitled "Fucking Sunsets."
