A while back I spoke about my wife's friend who comes from a rich family. She unlike the rest of them has Democratic view points. Well, she is in the middle of purchasing her gifts for her nieces and nephews. Well, mind you she purchase probably more than she should have but enjoys spoiling them and thinking as a nice way of giving back she decided donate a certain amount of money to heifer international in each child's name.


So the friend was telling her sister what she was doing and her sister basically chewed her out for doing it. How dare she take money that was to go to gifts her the nieces and nephews and spend it on families in other countries. Those people in other countries need to get "American Values and PUll themselves up by the boot straps".

The sister told my wife's friend that she should give them money to her nieces and nephews instead of others in their names.

The friend reminded her sister that their money comes from a trust that was set up by their grandfather. She also reminded her sister that she-the sister-never worked a day in her life and that type of thinking is why our country is so screwed up now.

So what should the friend do? My wife should suggested that her friend go ahead and donate the money to Heifer and not give a replacement gift to the nieces and nephews
