1. I saw her picture in our local paper. She looks anorexic if anything.
Fat?

:wtf:

2. I know!
The article stated, "The dancer suffered from anorexia when she first joined the company. She left the company, recovered, and recently had a baby."

Hopefully, she won't return to anorexia over this. :-(

4. The entire "have to be skinny" thing is beyond disgusting.
I've got three daughters and a wife I've been with for 26 years. I don't ever want any of them to think they need to be skinnier. They're all a very healthy weight, and what most would consider on the low end, but that's mostly because of physical activity. The girls are all 2nd degree black belts and my wife is a 3rd degree. They're all muscle.

The "waif" thing just makes me want to :puke:

5. If anything is fat, it's the critic's head!
She looks like a perfectly acceptable ballet dancer. And I'd like to see the NYTimes critic dance like that sometime. My wife was trained in ballet when she was younger, told me all about the regimen, and I can't even imagine the pain a ballet dancer has to endure for her art.

And, if anything, the Sugar Plum Fairy dancer is on the too-thin side of attractive for my tastes. I like a woman with real curves. Always have. B-)
