Golden Globe nominees announced. Post here who was robbed
I think there was alot of great acting in "Inception" and yet not one acting nominee. They should have at least considered Tom Hardy (Eames) or Joseph Gordon-Levitt (Arthur). Where was a nomination for Mark Ruffalo in "Kids are All Right". I mean I never though of Ruffalo as 'kinda sexy' until that movie and his acting was great. I realize that "True Blood" is nothing more than a nighttime Soap Opera but Denis O'Hare (Russell Edgington) and James Frain (Franklin Mott) just stole that last season. Heck I think O'Hare should just be handing the award simply based on that speech he gave after ripping the TV Newscaster's spine out on TV.

Who were others that were robbed.

1. I apologize for playing the role of iconoclast here, but...
The episode in which O'Hare de-spined the newscaster was one of the first (and remains one of the handful) of True Blood episodes I've seen, and I have to confess that I almost couldn't stand to watch it because of his delivery. It seemed way over the top and clumsily campy. Am I missing something? Or is that a part of its charm that would become more clear if I were more familiar with the series as a whole?

I'm not a big fan of the post-Rice vampire genre in any case, so maybe I'm simply not among the target audience.

2. I can't believe Toy Story 3 didn't even get a nomination in the best comedy feature category...
It is especially clear that Toy Story was robbed when you look at who did get nominations. How did critically panned movies like Alice in Wonderland, The Tourist and Burlesque manage to get nominations while Toy Story was snubbed? I realize it was nominated in the best animated film category, but other animated films have won for best comedy or musical feature in the past and I just can't understand how it could get overlooked when it seems like it should be the clear front runner.

I am also disappointed that Fair Game wasn't nominated, but I can at least understand the competition in the drama category was much tougher. Naomi Watts should have at least gotten a nomination for her performance as Valerie Plame though, she was absolutely brilliant in that role.

The best drama field is very strong this year, but I think that the Social Network will be next to impossible to beat. No one expected a movie about Facebook to be a masterpiece, but the Social Network was just that. It deserves to win and it will win.

3. Interesting that you say that. I was disappointed with The Social Network.
Found it somewhat boring.

4. Christina Hendricks
She clearly has the best Golden Globes.

(Yes, I realize that I have an obsessive problem. I'm working it out.)

She is. If they were falsies, they wouldn't be uneven. And you'd be able to see the top of her ribcage between her boobs.
