Really, most of the hollywood insiders pegged RR as a guy who was literally after whoever all the magazines and people thought was the hottest girl cause he knew she would increase his status. At the time it was SJ so he latched on and I guess his plan worked - sexiest man alive!
Realistically though...it ain't gonna get better for him than her. It's all downhill from hill so i'm not sure if he thought his plan through completely...
