I saw ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES last night for the first time. |

So-So, I thought. I like campy stuff; lately I'm into 1950's horror/sci-fi movies. I prefer unintentional camp to intentional camp.

2. I watched part of "Return of the Killer Tomatoes" being made |
|
here in my neighborhood in San Diego in 1987 or so. They filmed several scenes in my neighborhood and I watched all day. George Clooney was a TV actor then, I only knew him as Rosemary Clooney's daughter. He had long curly hair then. At one point the cast gathered for a group photo and I took a picture too. Finally a couple of years ago I rented the DVD out of curiosity. I thought it was not nearly as bad as I was expecting it to be, it had a tongue-in-cheek humor about itself. There were a few funny things and funny lines. I wasn't bored, but I guess recognizing some of the locations in it helped.

George has changed a LOT since the 80s - but then, haven't we all? :D

4. One of the best movie titles ever, and I do very much love those 50s horror/sci-fi films. |
