Our house broken into Monday night! |
|
Destroyed the front door, stole two macs and a good camera. Very upset is an understatement. Just needed to vent. Out about $4400.00 so far. Thanks for listening. R

4. I'm sorry you're going through this. |
|
. . . It happened to my ex and me long ago -- the feeling of violation and the insecurity that followed were not good times. They took the ONLY thing of any value that we had -- a console TV -- that was BORROWED from a friend, so we couldn't just tighten our belts and do without... we had to pay for it. . They used our candles to light their way and dripped wax all over everything -- including furniture, carpeting... and our CLOTHES!!! . . The ONLY good news about that (and your situation) is that it's just "things" -- no one was physically assaulted or injured. . . Try not to let it distort your vision of people in general. That can be one of the worst effects of something like this. . . .

I don't reckon Tater is like that. He would be a man of honor. He may take a chicken now and again but who hasn't?

Our car was broken into and hardly anything was stolen and I felt so violated just that a stranger with bad intentions was in our driveway. I hope you can find some peace. That's really traumatic.

Hi, Yipes, that is so scary. It has never happened to me, but like some of the other posters say, the sense of violation must be very traumatic. Hang in there and I hope things resolve themselves as best as they can.
Peace

12. Nobody goes near my house |
|
without waking up 300+ lbs of fur and teeth. A few years back somebody tried to go through my gate to come around back-he was met by the welcoming committee. About 10 years ago someone burglarized the house two doors up and was surprised by my neighbor coming home. The clown ran out the back door, hopped over the fence into my next door neighbors yard, hopped over into my yard-at which point my back door exploded as the Moose and his cohorts came out. He barely made it back over the fence to next door. By the time he got around my neighbors house into the front, the cops were here-he actually looked happy that the teeth didn't get him.
The sign on my back fence says "CAVE CANEM"

My shepherd Puff died a bit over a year ago. Our Pal and guard. We live at the end of the road and most of the neighbors are good people but this house the perp came from is a rental that has 8 people in it. We hope this will stop this crap.

that is the worst about getting cameras ripped off
can't imagine the emotional disruption and feeling of invasion - and to bust a door down! shit, that is so aggressive and violent.
Did I understand from a reply that the person was caught? That's good.
