1. Very pretty - is that a real tree?
I didn't realize I had so many Christmas trees of various types hanging around my house until I went to take pictures of them! Yikes!

Dia de las muerta decked:

The 'forest':

And, finally, the "real" one:

...not surprising for a guitar man!

with just bought xmass tree bulbs and lights and change the theme of the tree. One year I went all green and blue. My dad insisted I add red.

17. tabbycat
It was a tradition in our family to use all blue lights - I miss a tree with all blue lights - as time went on my children wanted multicolored lights and at the end we had all red lights. Your tree brought back some memories.

20. thanks
I always liked the simpler trees and since my parents aren't very sentimental at all when it comes to the Christmas tree (my childhood ornaments as far as I know don't even exist anymore) I wanted to start something different.

14. I haven't gotten a tree yet
One of my boys is visiting from college with his Ukrainian girlfriend, and he wants her to have the "traditional American" Christmas experience.

I dunno what that means. Mebbe that I get irate and pissed when the boys do not help me with anything Xmas-related. *sigh*

However. I'm thinking back to my childhood, when we had a silver tree with red balls and a color wheel that ran through orange, blue, green and red. Every friggin year for as long as I lived at home. I think I barely knew that Christmas trees came in any other color than silver till I moved away from home. Go figure.

25. We bought our tree yesterday - it came pre-decorated!
It's a Savannah holly tree and is loaded with bright red berries. I've wanted a holly for the front yard, so that is my tree for this year. With all the berries it will feed the birds every winter. If the weather dries out, I may try to put lights on it, but we need to get it planted this week.

Here is what it should look like when it gets established:
