1. That's the way they used to do album covers.

It's why I was in love with Boots Randolph for a couple of years when I was a kid.

2. The thing about that album...

Is that I'm quite sure that Chess just decided to slap a few Dorothy Ashby songs together just to sell a record. I bet that there was nothing new on it at all.

Now, I'm aware that covers have pretty women on them instead of the actual artists from time to time.

However, looking at what Chess did, it seems to me that they were giving the distinct impression that the model was. in fact, Dorothy Ashby.

A design FAIL, if I've ever seen one.
