Would you pay $325 for a pair of winter boots? |

1. No, but if you would I've got some beachfront property in New Mexico you may also be interested in. |
|
:)
Just kidding. Bit pricey for me, but then I don't live where they'd really be needed.

2. No. I've used boots here in WI when it was -20 and my feet kept warm. |
|
And that was standing around while I was flooding a skating rink. If I had lots of disposable income and anticipated being in subzero weather for a long time I might consider them.

Sure, but only after I paid for several other things I need like immediately.
*A desk
*A new computer
*Startup costs for my new side business
*A new domain name (I got in a fight with my registrar over premium services (proxy registration) which I no longer wanted and they were making it impossible to cancel so I lapsed my domain which was promptly swept up by a reseller/wholesaler. Too bad I don't want it back and there is no market for it to anybody but me.)
*New clothes for work.
After all that, yes I'd gladly pay half a month's rent (utilities/internet/cable included) for heated snow boots. My 'rents live on top of a mountain in CT and every time I go home, I have to shovel them out...they're the sort to let it accumulate until the roof collapses and they forget where the edge of the 4-foot-high open-front porch is. It takes 15+ hours and it's never not windy and it literally snows daily whether it's snowing anywhere else in the Farmington Valley. Mountain-effect weather.

7. If I lived in Fairbanks, AK, yes, I would. |
|
It can be many degrees below zero for days on end there. You betcha I'd buy a pair of those boots. Beats losing toes to frostbite.

10. I spent more than that |
|
on a pair of plastic climbing boots. Of course, that price included crampons.

11. Not unless I lived in really heavy snow & ice conditions |
|
And probably not then either. I do really well with smart wool and regular boots when its super cold though. I also don't think I'd like the heater.
