Sad week in the music world
We lost three very good musicians this past week. Very tough especially for those of us who love the great American art form known as Da Blues.
Captain Beefheart
James Peterson, father of Lucky Peterson and a helluva musician in his own right. And last but in no way least...
Robin Rogers. 1955-2010. One of the great singers ever and she had a social conscience as well.
RIP to all of these people.
What's especially sad about Robin's passing is that it looked like her career was about to take off. Check her out on youtube or her website sometime. Especially the great tune, "Color Blind Angel". If that tune doesn't bring tears to your eyes then you likely have no soul.

3. Ummm...
I believe B.B. is still alive, sweetie. Please don't scare me like that. I know that day is coming but I don't want it to be any sooner than necessary.

6. I could swear I had read his obit in our local paper... but what I am seeing now
is that he is still touring. (scratches head.) Sorry about that. I know that James Moody and Capt. Beefheart did die, though.

Here's a great article, though, by a local columnist, who dreamed King had died and has a good anti-Glenn Beck rally tie-in.

Oh well.

5. NO NO!
BB King is still with us. Whenever he goes it should be a national day of mourning. The King lives!

2. But musicians can still have careers even after their deaths
They don't get to reap the earthly rewards of it, true, but they can still gain new fans and appreciation for their work. Right, Ludwig?
