Just fininished Christmas Vacation again |
|
we watch is every year. It never gets old and actually seems to get better since I can relate to it more as an adult (almost). I noticed it is movies like this that glue our culture together. You can resite a line from it in a crowded elevator and everyone knows what you are talking about.

Too many cheap "jokes."
Most notably the one with the cat.

Aside from one or two scenes, it's a total throwaway.

We watch it every year. So many little throw-away gags, Things to look for:
- The moon remaining full for six days.
- Look for the RV in the overhead shot just before Eddie's surprise appearance.
- The "Marty Moose" eggnog mugs.
- Aunt Bethany's gifts wrapped with birthday paper.
- Cousin Eddie's black Dickie.
- The power company's auxiliary power switch is misspelled.
- Clark shoving his mother down during the squirrel melee.
- Ellen pretending to eat the turkey but flicking it off her fork.
- Catherine's mistletoe brooch just above her left breast.
- Ellen's hand on Clark's crotch during the SWAT raid.
- One of the SWAT team eating stuff off the dining room table.
