I'm leaning more and more towards atheism. I sure do like their version of The Ten Commandments. |

1. I know that not all atheists are alike, |

but I often feel that they throw the baby Jesus out with the bathwater. I think most religions start out touched by the Divine but humans are weak and corrupt and the message is lost in human frailty that are then covered up but ritual and dogma. Most devout people are sincere in their beliefs, its the tainted organizations that are not worthy of the believers trust. I understand why many people reject religious spokespersons who are little more than snake oil salesmen.

2. Some of us just don't believe. |

It's not about being upset with any one form of religion or organization. We just believe that there is no baby Jesus, in a divine sense, to throw out with the bathwater. I personally think religions are wonderful and can serve as a wonderful avenue to spiritual fulfillment, and I even acknowledge that I could be wrong about the God thing, but if I tried to follow a religion, I'd be lying about what I believed.

I also like this, though I don't consider myself a pagan either.
