Poll question: OK, folks. Help me decide between two almost identical pair of boots
Two very close boots, heel height the same, but the look is a bit different. What say you? And why, if you don't mind. :hi:

Choice 1 has a smaller fold-over at the top of the boot:

Choice 2 has a larger fold-over at the top of the boot:

1. the boot with the smaller fold looks more stylish and balanced
The only reason I'd go with the one with the long fold is if that long fold can be unfolded to make the ankle boot into a higher boot so you'd essentially have two boots in one. Doesn't look like you can do that with it though, but it's hard to tell with what little you can see of the inside and zipper.

13. You know, I'm really tired, I was up most of the night
watching the eclipse and then I had to drive 2 hours for a half hour meeting, and drive home.

Which is why the thought "circumsized" and "uncircumsized" popped into my head. I need a nap.

I think I like the first ones better, too. They're both the same price, too, so that isn't a deciding factor. And not sure if the second boot's flap could fold up to make a higher boot, or if it's stitched into place.

14. heh! not if you've taken a good look at women's shoes lately, these are wayy conservative
in terms of heel height (is that what we were talking about?)

3. I like both
I can't decide which I like better.

I guess you need to order both and then see which one looks better on your foot.

15. Me too! I think I like the first better, the more I look at them.
Also, they're the same price, so I can't decide based on that factor. :(

16. I think I'm going to choose that one, too.
Or I might order both and see which one looks and feels best, but for a simple online image, I think I prefer the first one.

17. I like the color, too. I have some black boots and some
dress pumps, and didn't want another pair of black shoes; plus, I have a lot of grey and complementary colors that these will go with.

6. The one on the bottom looks like someone fucked up making a taller boot and folded it over.
Actually, now that I think about it, that's probably exactly what it is.

19. or, they didn't have enough material left over to make full boots, so they made
ankle boots instead.

7. #2
I'm not a fan of "ankle" boots, so #2 looks a little more boot like to me. But they're both nice. Love the color too.

20. Some people don't like ankle boots - I have a high pair of black
boots and wanted something that would cover my foot and give my ankle a little support... I like the color (hoping it doesn't get dirty too fast).

8. To wear, to display, to enter into a design competition, or to eat?
:P

I don't like the seam on the front of the foot on the top one - the bottom one is nice and clean.

But I don't like the fold-over on the bottom one, though it has a nice casual feel that one might wear in the lobby area of a ski resort while drinking coffee or a cocktail before the fire and wearing a nice big fluffy sweater.

The first one looks more like "I'm out and about and being active right now"

22. See? They each have pluses and minuses. Hard to choose.
I think I'll be wearing them, hope I don't have to eat them, but shoe leather soup is not altogether unheard of!

11. the 2nd pair
sort of looks like it already has the leg of a pair of pants covering it, so actually adding pants would make it look like you had two pair of pants on.

if that makes sense.

Or maybe, if I wore a long skirt, it'd look like I had pants on under my skirt. :)

12. Oh, I like the 1st example
It just looks random. I'm a big fan of random.

Random boots, random stories, random se -- never mind.

Srsly, the first pair looks better IMO. Just - cooler. I'd wear em.

With a teddy and garter and -- okay, never mind.

30. The first one
It has better lines and looks more balanced. I like the straight heel, too, instead of the flared-out-at-the-bottom one of the second boot.

Now you make me want to go shopping for ankle boots! Mmmm...boots... :P :hi:

the heel details and stitching give a more expensive feel, #1 looks just a little more "cheap"
