My puppies just untied a knot in a sock toy
I have never had a dog do that. For 40 years, put a tennis ball in a sock, tie a knot: hours of fun.

This is their 2nd tied sock and after about 3 minutes they both bit the knot, about 90 degrees to each other, pulled and untied it! I have never had dogs like this before. They are Lab/Golden mix and spooky smart. They tried to open doors by twisting the knob. The female plays with my answering machine, playing the outgoing message and the recorded messages. The male will watch movies on an iPod and will flip between pictures on it. He found a cell phone with no battery then 2 days later found a battery for a cell phone.

There is more (even weirder) but you will think I am crazy (.. if you don't already).

2. okay... here is the female saying "go away"
the pups are littermates and they speak to each other in what I used to think was kind of a blend of coyote style chatter and polyphonic wookie growls. but after I recorded some of it and played it back, well... some of it just seems to be English.

I got out the camera to record Julia while she wakes up. She does all this funny stuff with her paws. So I'm right on her with the camera and she's all groggy... listen to this (you be the judge):

4. Thanks. They love you too
they haven't met you but they are highly social and if you love them, they are guaranteed to love you back.

They are getting spayed and neutered next week. They will get special new year's head cones. Wish I could have another litter. They are quite well liked locally and some have asked if I intend to breed but since they are living together, brother and sister, we are snipping. Lots of great dogs out there that need homes.
