So has anyone ever proved whether 'secret messages' affect the brain or not?
You remember the Christofascist show: Play Stairway backwards, and you heart 'My Sweet Satan' and this 'secret' message went into your subconscious and turned you into a satanic atheist gay.

I knew this claim was bullshit the first time I heard it, even though I knew nothing of science.

But has anyone gone ahead and debunked this?

This being the idea that listening to 'hidden messages'. whether they were played backwards, at high speed, or low speed, or in some way altered so that your conscious mind doesn't pick up on it, but your subconscious mind does, and later your behavior is altered.

I remember in the 1980's there were a lot of companies offering self help tapes where you listened to whatever was on the tape as ambient noise, and your brain picked up on the 'secret messages.'

So who debunked this?

There are good and bad thoughts in most things. Much of the bad stuff I think of as filters, or blockers.

If you believe in scrooge doctrine, where souls are trying to repay their debt or held hostage, The bad stuff is added in by torturing guards that keep souls from being able to help people by hiding the good they can put in things. Then they get the few in society they control to 'scorch the sky' and teach against concepts of their being a supernatural to try and put souls in despair. If souls try to help, but nobody can see it by filters then nobody can be helped, they find the Casandra despair, and could lose all light and not be reachable. In scrooge story doctrine, it would seem that it is a battle to stop the sadistic guards from stopping better souls trying to help people.

In illustrated man, the character with the tattoos on him, mean and violent, would be the guard, the tattoos would be the captured souls. And with his violence and meanness his prisoners can not help people as he adds bad to the stories.

That is a part of 'captured souls' doctrine, I don't think I believe it, but it is an interesting thought.

If you think of it as angels, then it is a battle between good and bad trying to put different messages in many things. So you have to be able to find the good in things, and learn to avoid the bad traps, since they can get you to do stupid things or hurt people.

An example would be a beautiful item, song, saying, story, then taken by someone else and used for bad ideas, that is adding bad to it so the attempts of good would not occur, making actions in life be similar to that battle also, something I find interesting.

I think it is good being added to the world, and bad being helped to be better. But that is just my belief, but I try to think in multiple possibilities where no damage is done regardless of what reality is, so also post original songs and quotes from stories, so that if something I type has a filter or blocker, some could get by that and still see the original. And if what I post is of better thought, then they also could see some of the better inspired stuff that gives me such joy and comfort. Although each person has to decide what is inspired, and what parts are good and bad in things.

Some think of it as 'toy story' doctrine, where some are like the sadistic kid that hurts the toys, and many other toys band together to get the toys free. Although toy doctrine has its own traps and pitfalls of despair, since it says the 'toys'(people) are completely under control of something else, something shown not true, and is part of many doctrines. Easier to think of toy doctrine as a chain of love upward, not as ownership.

On a side note, if you have a bad thought now and then, that may not be that you are sadistic, but a bad guard trying to get you to do something bad to make it harder for you to help people yourself or to make it harder for you to see beauty in things, so there are many levels of how you can think on that.

Also why I like this video clip.

6. Been thinking a bit on that stuff.

And since there have been a few shows on History Channel.

Saw the show on underground complexes, I think the usage of underground in many places is a reference to something more spiritual, not an actual location of some base or anything. And not necessarily bad, since there are many possibilities on that.

Although if someone is looking for bases, just look for construction projects that took a long time, like that Boston Tunnel that took 10 years. Stuff like that could indicate underground bases, also there was some speculation that an airport in Colorado has a rail entrance to one of the Rocky mountain complexes.

But anyways, not really worried about that stuff.

There is one thing I been thinking about. "you're not alone" I don't think that is about aliens, although many things are tried to be moved to be though of as 'aliens'

If you believe in 'spirits' and any are lost, the ones harder to find, may not see each other, and think they are alone, but can see people. So talking through TV song and story, with hopeful messages, and you are not alone is so they don't fall into despair till found. Although not sure if I believe that, it makes more sense, that some of the conversations are also for that purpose.

Although not sure about their being spirits, the thing is it is possible, as is anything is possible when you can't know for sure. So if it is possible, then it should be part of how you think of what is best. That is part of the idea posted long ago of finding the best choice of actions that also fit many possible explanations, without going against what you believe.

Although much of it also can fit metaphors for choices of how a person lives life also.

7. Christofascists' real areas of expertise are "secret massages" and "hidden massages."
And yet, they have great difficulty resisting such massages.

10. The messages don't even need to be secret, Advertising works
People think:
Faux is fair and balanced
Bush was a "Compassionate Conservative"
Kerry was a "Flip-Flopper"
Iraq has WMDs
Saddam was involved with 911
