. . . . . ...while the P is pwned. . . . . . . . . . Making the OP owned/pwned. . . . . . With that last sentence, I hereby decree that I not only OWNED... I OWNED/PWNED you, Bertha. . . . . . Happy Christmas to you despite that. :hi" . . .

4. How deep you are in the texting subculture. |
|
I love the fact that there are now words that are only meant to be read and not spoken. You can't imply the winking aside that is an inherent part of "pwned" in spoken words.

5. I believe 'pwned' predates texting and is from gamer culture |
|
I could be wrong, though.

6. Could be an offshoot of Highlander doctrine with a mix of collector doctrine. |

Fits that concept.
Necromancer, "you keep what you kill", that doctrine sorta matches also, or highlander doctrine, that defeating an enemy you get their power, each is a concept of 'owned'
Although those concepts come from the same place as 'owned' concept in thought. Armies of old when defeating some group often enslaved them, that concept is probably the meaning of 'owned' in that concept.
maybe pwned started with a typo.
Might be a chess reference saying someone was defeated because they were just a pawn.
Many possibilities.
Most people just say it without ever thinking what it might mean. Although they have a feeling of its meaning loaded in their macro for it.
Most macros would probably just be that they defeated someone.
I don't think owning someone would have any real meaning, nor would want to. And most agree with that, which is why if people realize they are being treated like being owned, the 'owners' will lose what they could get from that, they need a slave to be oblivious to there slavery to be able to dominate them, since complete domination includes them not even knowing what is done to them.
I posted about the women that refused to be in arranged marriages back in Roman times. Once they learned that it did not have to be that way, they were free, even if customs or society did not agree with them yet. The mind and the thought has to come first, since freedom, or ownership is mostly a state of mind.

Literally.
Pwned just means somebody typed a P instead of an O when they were typing Owned. Owned just looks so fuddy duddy-ish when playing a game. So, many people just type Pwned on purpose.
