Playboy's Hugh Hefner to marry Playmate Crystal Harris
Hugh Hefner, the 84-year-old founder of Playboy magazine, has announced that he is to be married for the third time.

In a message to his Twitter followers on Christmas Day, Hefner said he had given his 24-year-old girlfriend, model Crystal Harris, a ring.

========================================================================

I was in the mood to put this in LBN, but thought I'd save the mods the trouble of moving it here.

It made me laugh that it was front page on BBC news. Can't wait to see what American Media does with it once they wake up from their Christmas Advertising $$$ binge.

5. There was a famous interview with Hefner...
...right around the time he was with Barbi Benton (1970...40 years ago, when he was 44 and she was 20).

The reporter asked "Do you ever think that these women might just be interested in you for your money?"

Hefner paused, looked at the reporter like she was crazy, and replied "Who CARES?"

So I think he knows the score.

10. Another Hefner-Benton anecdote
When Hugh Hefner first asked Barbi Benton out, she said, "Well, I've never dated anyone over the age of 23 before."

Hefner responded without hesitation, "That's okay. Neither have I."

7. Hugh Hefner has always looked like an idiot embarrassing himself to me
Edited on Sun Dec-26-10 12:02 PM by lunatica
Always. I was around when he started the Playboy thing. He always thought way too much of himself. He actually did quite a bit to help fire up the womens' movement.

20. You know, I really want to be loved for who I am ...
... sweet, moderately nerdy, loyal, idealistic ..... all that crap. I'd rather be alone than be with a woman who just wanted me for money. Getting a woman by being rich seems like loserish behavior to me.

21. I assume he'll get an iron clad bullet proof pre-nup drawn up by
a lawyer who can do one in his sleep.

Meantime she'll be biding her time and hoping his demise comes before he gets restless and decides to trade her in for a younger model.

I don't know if his first wife is still alive. If she is I'd sure love to see a pic of her as she looks today. Just for a little perspective.
