If I have ported over a app install file, how do I 'launch' it?
I don't have Android App Mart or whatever the fucking app store is called

you need to connect your phone to your computer by USB, find Astro File Manager online, download and install to your phone.
Is the app file you have an .apk file?
If so, it should show up in your Astro File Manager, and with that you can install the app.
