If you expect good advice you'll have to provide us with the information that we need.

Although you might want to check if it's going to drop below freezing depending on the food. But I've done it multiple times.
Also depending on the area, you might want to consider what if any wildlife might find the food appealing if your car isn't in a garage.

3. You need to track down the episode of Hoarders with Jill (first episode ever) |
|
She was a food hoarder and the episode will have you cleaning out your fridge pronto!

4. I've done that. Just be mindful of the temperature. If it is below 34 degrees, no. |
|
Anything in bottles (including beer) might freeze and explode and normal refrigerator items don't take well to being frozen.

We have frequent power outages here in the boonies. If they go on long enough for me to be concerned about the stuff in the fridge, I just gather it all up in a box and put it in the garage.
For freezer stuff, I just put them in a securely shut cooler (to keep the critters away) and stick the cooler outside in the snow where it's REALLY cold.
With food prices these days, I'd say that this would be a good problem to have! :-) It should be fine as long as it's under 40 degrees (for the fridge stuff) where you are.

I remember a Car Talk episode where someone left chocolate kisses in the car overnight, and mice were able to get inside through the air vents and into the passenger compartment. Next morning the kisses were all gone -- eaten or hidden away throughout the ventilation system. It's not a good idea to leave food in your car.

I ate a pizza on Wednesday that I bought on Monday and had stored on my back seat.
And there's a 12-pack of diet Pepsi on my front seat as I type this. :-)
Just don't let the temp dip lower than, say, 28 or so. Bad things may happen.
