Well, Florida's population just doubled overnight.
Not really, but it sure seems that way. The cold has driven probably hundreds of thousands of northerners down here, as happens each year.

I'm seeing car tags from everywhere. I don't blame them. It's cold up there.

But there are some inherent traffic issues that go along with the influx. The roads are loaded right now.

And there are some real poor driving habits, unfortunately.

Good luck and safe passage to all visitors and to all Floridians.

The next four months will be tough on us all.

1. Yes, I've noticed that too.
And it has been really, really cold down here too. Just not as bad as elsewhere. But it began the long-awaited return to normal temps today. Yay!

As for the snowbirds and other refugees from points north, well ... anybody want to buy my house?

4. We can all tell when Spring has returned when the snowbirds and their
poor driving habits are observed back here in the North!

5. I laughed when I saw the title of this thread...
thought that passed through my mind was that Florida...

7. Well, I didn't mean to imply that all the bad driving was from the northerners.
Florida has plenty of bad ones too, even on a good day.

But mix the two together, and you have a real potent mix for trouble.

I just go heavy on the precautions til about April, that's all.

Cheers.

6. So, that's why there isn't any traffic on the roads in Detroit this week?
Kind of quiet here. My normal 45 to 50 minute evening commute has taken like 25 to 30 minutes this week. Next week, they'll all be back, and I'll miss my quick and easy drive.
