You Gotta See This Cock Soccer
http://www.thisissouthdevon.co.uk/news/8203-Cock-balls/article-2440678-detail/article.html

Don’t be put off by the headline - it’s not us being profane. Rather, it’s us succinctly describing the two main components of the new craze which is set to sweep China.

It’s Cock Soccer, a game in which chickens and roosters play ‘football’ on the streets of Shenyang, in northeast China's Liaoning province.

It was discovered that when given a ball, chickens would compete for it and aim to kick it about before doing what comes naturally for roosters when in combat, pecking each other to death

It’s unlikely that we’ll be seeing this game on our shores, such is the wrangle with Animal Rights groups, but as China are garbage at the real thing, let’s let them have it.

1. Truthfully - roosters will not peck each other to death unless
they are confined. Usually the confrontation will be over in seconds. It consists of some strutting and raised hackles, then maybe two or three jumps at each other. Then one rooster backs down. Sometimes hens will do something similar while setting the pecking order. It's kind of neat to see. In 20 some years of raising chickens, I've only seen one rooster get really beaten up, and he was mean to the hens, so I think the other roosters decided he had it coming!

Winged Justice is swift and merciless.

I have seen the "ganging up" thing happen among chickens.

You're right about the hens. Sometimes they are worse than roosters.
