:grr:

The poor thing is obviously miserable, but I STILL wish she'd picked the tile. Damn what a mess. On top of that, she's got a sprained ankle from playing a little too hard on Saturday. I've got an appointment with the vet for Wednesday.

3. He has better grip on the carpet.
On the tile he's likely to rocket himself across the floor and smash into a wall or some such...

4. If you had seen the living room, you would understand how appropriate that is.
The "rocket launch" appeared to have occurred anyway.

9. Because you wouldn't appreciate it as much if it were easy to clean.
:hide:

I don't know about dogs but cats veer to carpet over resilient flooring because of their instinct to bury their effluence to hide the scent.

13. I hope no one ever shows a black light on carpet where I've lived...
...with three cats and a border collie. God almighty. One is a puker, one is a pee-er, and the border collie is a wild card -- one never knows.
