Is there a discreet way to wash blood off your head at the office?
This morning I was bounding down the subway stairs with a spring in my step and a song in my heart when I went down, hard. I twisted my ankle and bashed my head against the railing.

I looked up to at people peering back at me saying, "You OK lady?" "Help me up and we'll find out." The station attendant asked if I needed an ambulance. "No, that seems dramatic." I went to the drugstore a half-block away and got an instant ice pack, some gauze and a bottle of ibuprofen. I boarded the train, put the ice pack on my head, took an ibuprofen and went to work. When I got there I realized I had dried blood on my scalp, and a lump on the right side (but I wasn't using that half of my brain anyway.) I had to go through my working day with it there since I couldn't figure out where to wash up.

1. Are there many bathrooms where you work?
You could've took a glass and get some water from the sink and wash up in the stall. You would then be able to throw the bloodied rags in the toliet which would be safer and also have a little privacy.

2. I hope you are feeling better
I forgot to say that in my last post. Sorry I'm so insensitive.

3. Ouch! Hope you're OK.
You couldn't just go to a restroom and wash it off?

4. Hydrogen peroxide makes for a quick fizzy
clean up, also. And it's cheap.

A compact first aid kit is always handy for a desk or briefcase.

Hope you feel better.

5. Yikes!
My first thought was, lock yourself in a stall and dunk your head, but aside from being gross and unsanitary, that's just not nice.

I hope you have your foot elevated and someone looking after you. Take care.
