1. Is that his latest, the one about the origins of all things home?
If so, I agree, totally fascinating! I love all his work, though...

5. I love hearing the audiobooks that he himself narrates
It adds a whole other extra dimension of wonderfulness to hear him speak his own book.

Sadly, not all are available in the US for some reason.

4. "A short history of nearly everything", also by Bryson, was also very interesting. It was
a hit in 2005.

6. Bill Bryson is a genius
His "Lost Continent" kills me every time I re-read it. Laugh-out-loud funny! And I have never read anything by him that disappoints.

8. His adventures in a hardware store after decades abroad is a riot
because he forgot the names for tools used in the US.

"my wife's people call them 'spanners.'"

:spray:

7. yes, I picked that up at the library just because I like Bryson
and wow, what a fascinating book. :)

I do wonder, though, why the access to the viewing area on the roof was made so difficult to get to?

10. Gil's all Fright Diner - A. Lee Martinez
Vampire-ghost love story. Sidekick werewolf, zombies, gouls, and a dark sorceress, what's not too love?

Just got all twelve issues of this weird-ass comic Image published in 2002/2003 called Paradigm.
