It's a lifesaver!
I hope you are able to keep it at bay.

2. My migraines are not basal, so the triptids (sp) don't work... |
|
It'll be Vicodin a cold back on the back of my head and a dark room as soon as I am done working.
Thank you so much. I hope I can too.

4. Tried Mineral Ice? Especially on your jaw joints and back of neck? |
|
It doesn't replace pain pills but it can help to break the cycle of pain.

6. I bet that would feel good on my occipital bone. It is usually where it |

centers and I usually use a plain old ice pack..I'll have to try that.
Thanks, Laura

3. Do you have Imitrex or Amerge? |
|
I have suffered many years with migraines these two medications work the best for me. (not both at the same time however) Occasionally some Tylenol #3, Dr. prescibed of course. I hope you are able to fend of the misery somehow. There's always a cold compress and a dark quiet room.

7. I've tried them and Maxalt etc..They don't work for me. |
|
I do have a standing order for painkillers, because I don't use them often, but I hate taking them. I think it'll be the cold ice pack theory. Thanks so much.

I tried yoga to fend it off, but working at the computer screen is undoing all that I did...:(
Thanks again...:loveya:

I've had migraines since I was a child (I'm 55) and my six year old granddaughter has suffered with migraines for two years. Your headaches sound like hers...intense pain, nausea, vomiting, and then deep sleep. She wakes up headache-free but lightheaded and starving.

10. I get a string of white Christmas lights sometimes, or what I call |
|
a tear in my vision...but not always. I always come away from them feeling like a dishrag. Your poor little granddaughter..and you, it would have been horrid to have them as a child. :(

10 mg. Valium plus 600 mg. Ibuprophen. Works for me. Pain killers just make me sick when I have a migraine.
Dark room, ice on head and not moving helps.
