Squash soup, beige carpet = lots of time with Oxiclean |
|
Not fun today.
Mrs GoS was bringing lunch up to the office and wanted to adjust the thermostat. She set the tray with the aforementioned soup on the stairs and steadied it with one hand. It was not enough.
Crash went the tray. One broken plate, two spilled bowls of hot butternut squash with apple, curry soup. Three stairs and a bit of carpet on the landing covered in soup (lucky she hadn't put the candle on the tray as well or a couple of glasses of red wine).
Spent the afternoon with the wet/dry vacuum, hydrogen peroxide, OxiClean and rags mopping up the destruction. Looks like the stain may come out, even though there's turmeric involved.
We'll find out in the morning whether I'll have to go rent a Rug Doctor.
