If anyone's still awake...here's the beginning of the blizzard...

...that's hitting Boston. From my front steps.

I LOVE snowstorms.

:)

3. Nice picture -reminds me of my old neighborhood.
It brings back memories, good and bad. I lived my whole life in the Boston area until moving to Florida 12 years ago. I haven't missed the cold and the snow one little bit, but I sure miss the relative sanity and the politics. :)

4. Stay safe. I took a personal day at work today.
They don't ever have snow days where I work, and I did not think I could get there safely, so I called in.

I am not impressed by their complete disregard for our safety.

5. Been there, done that
The outpatient clinic I worked for last year insisted on staying open during last year's snow storm in Dallas...worst one for us in decades. When some of us started handing in our PTO paperwork the day before it hit, we were met with "you WILL be getting points for not coming in". My response: My life and my daughter's life are more important than getting points, thank you very much.
And it's not like this was a clinic that was providing life saving/sustaining procedures, it was a place that had a dozen doctors where people came for their follow up doctor visits...nothing that could not have been rescheduled.
