2. That's a pretty good definition of the dirty, sooty snow that builds up in the
wheel wells of cars during the winter.

3. Reminds me of the menu of one of the local Chinese takeout places.
One of the featured specialties of the house was "Chicken in a Strange Tasting Sauce." No real description, just said "chicken stir-fried with Chinese vegetables in a strange tasting sauce."

I was hoping that it was some kind of bad literal translation, like maybe they got their 12 year old kid or some family member fresh from China to translate the native Chinese name of the dish.

Never was brave enough to find out what it was, or order it. Then, the place folded.

10. My local in upper Manhattan tried dutifully to translate their menu into Spanish

Thus was born the culinary delicacy "Moo Goo Gai Cacerola"!

They folded, too. I was almost the only person who ordered Chinese food there; in NYC above 96th St., most such places also serve burgers, fries, etc.

4. The recipe:
1) Follow the Abominable Snowman around with a bucket.

2) When he craps, collect the snow crap in the bucket.

3) Steam. Season to taste.

a new guy wants to "order chinese", I hand
it to him.
