Horace Silver - Señor Blues 1959 |
|
This is a 12 bar blues in E-Flat Minor. I used to be able to hear that E-Flat, but now it sounds like F to me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HOu5iWhexE0

1. You might also enjoy Taj Mahal's version of the song |
|
I know of his version primarily due to the fact that one of my Taj favorites, "Queen Bee," is on his Señor Blues album. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DpPXgjsjgAw:toast:

Same tune, same harmony, different instruments, better fidelity than Horace Silver's 1959 version.
Some listeners might not be used to the 11th and 13th chords in both versions.
