It's a rainy day in San Antonio and I want to go home. Your opinions please. |
|
I was hoping that I'd be able to catch a load out of here on Friday, but no dice. The company I'm leased to didn't have anything coming out of here and there are no loads available on Monday, either. They don't work weekends in the office.
A load back home out of here was going to be my last load for them. I start a new job on the 24th. I've also got a lot of things I'd like to do back home next week, too, including moving in with my girlfriend and all of the stuff associated with that.
So, I'm thinking about running empty back home. It's about 1250 miles. I own the truck so I wouldn't have any trouble out of the company. What's holding me back is the fuel cost. It would take about 200 gallons to get there. Diesel is about $3.30 a gallon right now, but I do have 150 gallons already in the tanks and paid for. What do you think? Hit the road or wait for a load?

1. If you have a chance, go down to the River Walk in downtown SA. |
|
You can kill an afternoon and the food is good too. It rained the day I went downtown, also, but it was still interesting. Saw the Alamo, also.
I was in SA last spring for several months. Not a lot to do.

You'll be better off than sitting there wondering if you should go, so go.
You've got things to do and a good reason to do them.
