NFL Replay
It's almost as much fun watching the Patriots get their asses kicked the second time around.

1. I never enjoy seeing someone lose. I only watch to see someone win.
Even teams I don't like, I just find it sad to see the players and fans defeated.

3. Especially Brett Favre! Did I ever mention that I grew up around...
Yeah, I probably mentioned that already. :)

I usually enjoy seeing underdogs win.

5. So you hated seeing the Jets win, I guess.
It's not like either team has a good record.

Either way, I don't get into watching people lose. If I really don't like a team, it will make me cheer for the other one, but even then I'll feel sorry for the loser. If I want to watch someone lose, I'll go down to the street corner and watch all the people trying to make it in this economy. Plenty of losing going on all around us.

7. The Jets were the underdogs
and I'm really struggling in this economy. I don't know what the problem is. I'm not suggesting that you think like me, and I have no desire to think like you.

8. The problem is that the corporations are cheating.
They are buying special treatment at our expense. Read any Charles Dickens or Victor Hugo novel, and it's obvious how far we have regressed. :(

And I don't want to make you think like me. I just like exchanging ideas and seeing how others think. :)

12. I watched a football game.
There are winners and losers. It's entertainment, an escape. It's that simple, and I don't need, or want, it to be anything else.

9. Which one is Danny Boy again?`

I guess I'll admit I enjoy seeing Rush's name not listed in the R&R HOF announcements each year...

Aside from that, I grew up a Saints fan for the first twenty years of my life, which means that I never saw a team I cheered for have a winning season growing up. For that matter, when I moved to Dallas in the late 80s the Cowboys were losing, too. As a Southerner, a Cajun, a liberal, and of French descent, I have a great deal of sympathy for losers. :)

10. You know what really pisses me off about Snyder?
Edited on Wed Jan-19-11 04:07 PM by TZ
He broke the Democrat/Republican Redskin tie in. Time was, when Democrats were in the Redskins never did well..when Republicans were in...Super Bowls and Playoffs galore. I used to console myself that some RW jerk might be in the WH, but at least it boded well for the Skins... Now? They just suck no matter who is in office. Thanks alot Snyder! :grr:

11. Oh, THAT Danny Boy.
Actually, I hate to see the Redskins this down. Twas a noble rivalry, until NFL Fanboy took over. Mostly I hate how he treats people. He's fickle and indecisive, and hires and fires people accordingly, treating them like names on his fantasy league sheets. Blech. DC deserves better, and that's coming from a Cowboys fan.

You really know what buttons to push, don't you?
