1. Christ. People can't even drive rolling cars. |
|
That's all we need--idiot drivers crashing onto buildings and falling onto pedestrians from above. ARE YOU INSANE!!!???

I would LOVE a flying car. Hell, I'd settle for a jetpack. :)

16. And for the most part they were right, thank you very much. |
|
But still, I only have to worry about two dimensions, and then mostly on accepted motorways and the occasional sidewalk. If they can fly over my house, I can never be safe!!!

5. My 1971 Dodge Charger actually FLEW... |
|
. . . . . . . . ...at 55 MPH for an extremely brief, extremely TERRIFYING time when I totaled it. Blew all four tires on landing. . . . No seat belt (young and an idiot), sober (fell asleep after working a split shift for some time... woke when my chin hit my chest) and walked away a little dazed with a small cut on my forehead. Had JUST enough sense to get the (unused THAT evening, TYVM) bowl and baggie from the trunk (where I had stashed it some time before) and bury it beside a tree. . Went back much later and had forgotten which tree. . . . A steel support girder had opened up my car from radiator to gas tank like a can opener. . . . Good times. . . .

Our authoritarian masters would never permit that level of freedom for us. They would be much too dangerous.

12. That seems to be the one thing all "futuristic" moves could agree on.... |
|
is that we'd have flying cars by the year 1995 or so. It's really disappointing that car manufacturers have let us down there and that we still use roads.
Like I just saw Bladerunner for the first time a few months ago. Had never seen it, I turn it on and there's all these freaking flying cars!! The guy still walks up to a payphone and uses that - so they couldn't predict the cell phone in 1984 but they thought they could predict flying cars??? ha ha ha

Flying cars do not take their turn.
Although most people think they can set 'whose turn it is' based on what they want society to be like.
The concept of flying cars, is some saying someone is cheating.
But they can not correct the beer and travel money due to me, or have chosen not to, so they can't even figure out the simplest of things.
They can not correct the most obvious of wrongs, how can they be entrusted with the wealth of the world?
Don't you see that there being poverty in the world is a condemnation of the system, and why it has to change.
The flying car is the fix that ignores those in traffic, why not make the roads more accessible so everyone can move along.
Great analogy there.

19. They're still in the rudimentary stages of development |
|
I've seen a few prototypes for hovercraft, but so far, they haven't worked out as planned.
Flying cars aren't supposed to be readily available until the 22nd century!! I'd like to come back to life to see--and try out--one of those.
