U2's "October" turns 30 this year. Where did the time go? |
|
I remember listening to this all through 7th and 8th grade and beyond. On cassette. This was one of those that had the whole album on one side, for them there fancy auto-reverse Walkmans.
Black Flag's Damaged also turns 30 this year. As does Byrne/Eno's My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. And Rush's Moving Pictures. And Adam and the Ants' Prince Charming.
Where did the time go?

Because the streets have no names.

4. They lost me around "Rattle and Hum" and completely with "Achtung Baby" |
|
I felt their sound and style just changed for the worse around those albums.
