4. Our temp of 33 doesn't seem so cold now.
I have some ham and a ham bone in the beans.

I never made navy beans before, just lima beans.

A friend gave me the bag of navy beans so I thought I would cook it.

6. Just ready your post makes me cold.
My truck lives under a carport.

The carport is cover about halfway down, helps with the rain.

Stay warm.

3. it's a laundry and cooking day for me
we only have a laundry room in our apartment building, so i usually spend a day a month at my dad's getting caught up on all the wash. i've got a pot of beans going for my husband's birthday chili (i know, beans in chili might get me labeled a blasphemer) while i wade through the laundry and get caught up on the iron chef episodes on the dvr.

i get to curl up next to the wood stove, hang out with our little pride and eat my dad's food. it's a nice day, even if i have to fold laundry.

7. Beans in chili would get you in trouble in Texas.
I will eat chili with or without beans as long as it is good.

I need to do laundry myself, the cart is full.

Have fun with your Dad, give him a hug for me.

15. I worked Monday so I have Friday off.
I wish it wasn't so hard to find turkeys except on the holidays.

Thirteen pound turkey are a good size to deep fry, not to big.

A weekend with the wood stove is good for me.

Have a good weekend yourself.

16. Just noticed, I bought two turkeys at Thanksgiving, and one at Christmas.
That makes three.

Wish I would have bought one more.

I love deep fried turkey.

10. I am still eating my veg soup I made on Tuesday, a big pot.
It turned out really well, the best yet.

I added parsley flakes, cooked the soup slow all day.

I added some left over Mexican style bbq chicken and rice yesterday, good.

Next I will make stew.

Netflix is good anyday.

13. I'm doing that tomorrow!
Navy beans and ham. Yum! I made a cajun 15 bean with sausage soup last weekend. Nothing like a big bowl o' soup when it's freezing outside. :)

I hope you enjoyed your cozy day!

21. I love navy beans, but they don't love me.
They gave gout last time I cooked up a big pot.

Dammit, I'm not fat, rich, and elitist enough to be getting gout!
