2. I don't.
Advance planning is not part of my skill set.

These cookies were supposed to be baked a month ago, but for some reason we never got around to it.

One of these days I'll turn in those overdue 3rd grade book reports.
Maybe even before I turn 60.

5. I'm wearing my reindeer antlers!
I've been wearing them every day, I think I'll keep it up }( nothing to do with Christmas, although that's how I got them, took from my mom's Christmas hats.

6. My friend in Australia calls it Chris-mess
Do you wear a light-up Rudolph nose too? Or do you save it for special occasions like Valentine's Day?

8. The antlers are my new thing!
NOT that I'm going for the Furry thing, not quite, but I'm gonna start wearing them when I'm alone with the cats and squirrels. Then when it warms up I'm gonna start going out to sit by the pond at 4 or 5 in the morning to see what I can see, one morning I saw a fox in the backyard!!! This sounds lame I'm sure but I want to see the foxes and bunnies and possums and I want to wear my antler hat  I ordered a pair of little handmade antlers that will look real but I don't have them yet. I might have to take a pic when I get them!

and true, YOUR ADDRESS for where to get some FREE COOKIES would be appreciated :*

and you'll never find it, never, never, nevah! Mwa ha ha ha ha haaaa

The Healthy Holiday Cookie Recipe (found in some women's magazine in a doctor's office ages ago)

1 cup butter
1 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon EACH of cinnamon, cloves, allspice and baking soda
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 cups or more of white all-purpose flour

Preheat over to 350 degrees.

Put butter and honey in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Mix in spices and baking soda, then pour in a bowl and let it cool.
Stir in the whole wheat flour and add enough white flour to make a fairly stiff dough.
Knead until smooth. Roll out on a floured surface, cut with cookie cutters. Bake on greased cookie sheets or cookie sheets covered with parchment paper for 12 to 15 minutes until just golden. They burn easily so watch them closely.

Makes 4 dozen or more depending on size of cookie cutters. I got about a hundred small star shaped cookies from this batch.

Nowadays I dust them with confectioners sugar, but when my girls were in elementary school, we invited their friends over for cookie-painting parties. We put confectioners sugar in cups, added drops of food coloring to make a rainbow of paints, and diluted the mixtures with just enough water or lemon juice to be workable without being drippy. Using inexpensive new paint brushes from the dollar store, each kid painted a dozen cookies to take home. The kids had a great time.

Before the painting started, we covered the floor, the table and other surfaces with old newspapers to make cleanup easier.

Poles?
Christmas ALREADY?
Damn.
Merry whatever.
Wake me up when it's spring.
