Do you ever clink on Locked posts to see why they were locked??
Why does it feel like I'm doing something wrong just looking at those locked posts??

8. I second the notekeeping idea on the buddy lists
But I often find locked threads disappointing.

Unless the OP itself is ridiculously outrageous, it's often hard to figure out what all the hoopla is about with so many deleted sub-threads and removed names. Mods do too good a job of cleaning them up and the explanations can fit lots of different scenarios.

24. I've been wanting that sorting idea for a long time, or a 'graveyard' forum for locked
threads. I also think that all deleted posts should reappear after the lock - it would do nothing for civility and board-stability, of course, but it sure would be entertaining...

:)

28. Yes.
I very frequently do not understand what the 'big deal' was. I mean VERY frequently. I do not think topics that have polarized views should be taboo from speaking about, what is a forum for if not debate?

The "Lines that Can't Be Crossed" are very thick and fuzzy.

And a followup question to your post:

"Do you ever try to reply to a locked thread b/c you really have something to say on the matter and then go DANG! when you realize you can't post there."

???

C'mon, admit it . . . .
