South Park tonight was one of the best.
It showed how Gibson is crazy and the how stupid many parents are for taking their children to see this movie.

1. Basically
it took all the generalizations(it's anti-semitic, Mel is a pain freak, etc....) and exaggerated the hell out of them. But still, I think Passion is a great movie and it holds special signifigance for me.

2. I love SP
It's a great Satire. Many times they have a hidden message. Take a look at the "Fun with Weapons" episode. The kids got away with causing SERIOUS harm to Butters, while everyone was so distracted by decency. . .

Let's see what this parallels. Kyle then says how disturbed he was by the nudity (Bush parallel anyone ?) just so they could get away with what they did wrong.

Iraq : Janet Jackson's Nipple incident
Ninja Weapons : Cartman's Nudity

Did anyone else come to this conclusion ?

3. actually i thought it was more like...
Cartman's Nudity : Janet Jackson's Nipple incident
Butter's injury (adults indifference to violence) : general acceptance of The Passion, or i suppose Iraq could be related as well

4. Yes, it was great.
Cartman dressed as Hitler, Mel Gibson insane, priceless. SP is one of the very few shows I watch.

6. I haven't watched SP in years but I'm glad I read the post about tonights
episode.
FUCKING HILARIOUS!!!

I know people that take "The Passion" too seriously. Almost like hey had no idea that Jesus suffered and that the film was actual video footage. And for a whole week afterward they did act somewhat christ-like. <cynicism off>
