How do you tell if sour cream has gone bad?

Or the expiration date on the carton.

It's as simple as that.

Bad sour cream is liquidy and moldy and just makes you want to throw it out the minute you look at it. If it still looks like it did when you bought it then it's still good. Not difficult at all.
