Tuesday Afternoon update... |
|
The operations that she needed were delayed by a day, but she is being operated on to have a blockage to her bile duct removed as I type this. The blockage is thought to be a gallstone, but the surgeon isn't sure, even after an MRI had been done.
TA's second operation, one to remove her gallbladder will be tomorrow. She has been in the hospital since....and this is kind of funny, Tuesday afternoon, and is a little restless, quite jaundiced, but is in general good spirits. Your kind words have helped her to cope with this situation.
Hopefully by this time next week she should be well on the road to feeling like her old self.
Once again, thanks everyone.

1. I saw a case seemingly very similar |
|
Jaundiced and worried. Just a stone blocking the bile duct, but it looks scary. She will feel much better when it is over.

3. Yes, the two procedures are relatively simple, but... |

when it is happenning to you it can be quite scary. Thanks.

2. Thanks for the update, my dear Joe Fields! |
|
I'm looking forward to seeing her here again, and I know she is!
There's nothing quite like uncertainty to make you restless...especially when it's about your health!
Please tell her hello from me...

4. Thanks Peggy. I'll be sure to tell her when I talk to her tonight. |
|
She has her laptop with her, but I would imagine she may not feel quite up to posting so soon after coming out from anesthesia. She is thinking that she may be released from the hospital Sunday, but I have my doubts. I know that insurance companies want patients out of the hospital as soon as possible, but with her gallbladder coming out tomorrow Sunday seems too soon.
Anyway, the good news is that after this is all over a lot of what's wrong should be corrected.
Thanks.
