Skijoring: fun winter sport, or proof of Norwegian rednecks? |
|
Up in Sandpoint they just started having Skijoring competitions. Skijoring, for those of you lucky enough not to have enough snow to do this, is a "sport" that requires a horse, a set of skis and a water skiers' tow rope.
So I'm sitting here listening to how wonderful this is, and only one thing came to mind: it is possible to translate "hey, y'all, watch this" into Norwegian. Oh, and that there was beer involved.

Here in Minesota skijoring involves dogs--it's pretty much dogsledding without the sled. For the record I have no idea how they do it in Norway.
