Why do you come to the DU Lounge?

Seriously, tho, preservation of my mental and emotional health has taken me out of the fray. I almost didn't make it back and it's taken me a very long time and cost me plenty of guilt for dropping my public activism, but the return was a long and hard trip that I can no longer afford to keep making.

I come here for the smart humor, the sheer silliness and the fact that there's some genuine affection and support among people who only know a few things aobut one another. W/o DU I wouldn't know half of the spidery dark corners and circus tents of the internets. Of course I'd get a lot more excercise and more writing done.
