Baseball Card oddities - anyone remember this classic "OOPS"

I use to collect baseball cards and thanks to that little 'oops', Fleer saw a surge in their baseball card sales.

Never got one except the cleaned up one

1. I was involved with promoting baseball card shows at the time....
I had several of those and saw scores more.

2. I wanted one so badly and kept buying Fleers cards in hopes to get one
Personally I thought they were shoddy quality cards and without a doubt I think the Fleer folks knew that was in there but wanted to sell product.

3. You can find them on Ebay now for $5 or so.
There were a few variations...

Fuck Face version
Scribbled out version
black box version

On Ebay you can get a pack of all three variations for like $15.

ha ha, this one is a classic. Thanks for the memories. I've got 75,000 baseball cards down in the basement just trying to figure out what to do with them all. Maybe donate to Goodwill one of these days for the tax write off.

5. Until I scrolled down, I thought
the mistake was that his first name is "Cal." And then I realized that he doesn't look like Cal. And then I scrolled down. Tee Hee.
Went to a ball game in Baltimore late last summer, by the way. What a beautiful park.
