So far my power has gone off 7 times |

Evidently the rolling blackouts are more equal in some parts of town than others.

1. I rarely lose my power |
|
I'm on the same grid as the state prison. :)My road is split on the grid, half of us are on one and the other half on another. So, while I may have power, my neighbor won't.

4. The good news is that it came back on 7 times as well. |

I can't imagine what those poor linemen for the electric companies are dealing with right now. They are working out in sub-zero wind chills and the stuff they fix may well be out again in a short time (as you can attest!)
I freaking HATE winter, have I mentioned that lately????

6. We have old fashion Dearborn space heaters, there is a place in town that sells them. |
|
They also fix and clean them.
Old houses have gas jets, best heat in town.
I would not let the gas pipes be cut, the old way is sometimes better.
They are safe is use properly.
