1. HEPA air cleaner might help. |
|
you might want to run one in your bedroom so you can sleep better. I like to run one all day then turn it off at night, some of them can be noisy. I also recently read that you should wash your hair before going to bed, to wash out the pollens etc..., and do not open windows between the hours of 6 and 10 am, I guess there is more pollen floating around then. Also, make sure you wash your linens at least once a week in HOT water. This really helps me since I am also allergic to dust.
Just a couple of ideas.

the drapes (Put them in the dryer with a MOIST, not dripping wet towel for about 5 min on a low heat.) and pillows, they can hold a lot of dust. My Mom swears by buying local honey, the closer to where you live the better. She would always put some in our morning food, it's worked pretty good for us.
Hope you feel better soon Friend.:D

It's a homeopathic remedy made from onions so if your hay fever manifests as watery eyes and runny nose, allium cepa might work for you.

Hot as hell, but it'll clear out your sinuses if you dump a little in some water and drink it.

I read about drinking green tea to help fight allergies about 18 months age. I started drinking 4-8 cups of green tea a day and my allergies have not been a bad as they use to be.

Are they decaffeinated? Or are you certifiably insane?:-)
Maybe an extract would work as well? I'm pretty sensitive to caffeine.
Going to go to the store and look for some of these things later on. Keep 'em coming! I truly appreciate it.

9. Green tea is not the high (no pun intended) in caffeine. |
|
Four cups of GT is about 1 cup of coffee. I will also drink red or white tea at night, no caffeine.

8. Honey in its comb that is taken from local hives. You chew on it like |
|
the old-fashioned wax candy that had the colored liquid in it and swallow it.
1. Honey is a natural antibiotic. 2. It has to be honey close to where you live in order for you to have the pollen that aggravates your allergies. By ingesting the pollen in the honey and the comb, you become desensitized and you won't be bothered after a short time. This is a homeopathic remedy and much less painful and inconvenient than allergy shots (not to mention safer; too much serum can send you into an allergic reaction that closes your trachea).
If this is inconvenient, then yes, stinging nettles or nettles supplements are the way to go.
