2. Been there, done it, spent the refund
I'm one of those disgustingly annoying people who does her taxes right away and you want to kill when they say, "Oh, I got my refund weeks ago."

4. you can't be annoying as the following
I prepare taxes, and the only earlybirds who piss me off are the ones who come in mid-January with only some of their W-2's, because they want their huge refunds right away, then come back in March to amend their returns because they got their last 2 or 3 W-2's in February. :nuke: They are invariably whiny and stupid and must die.

9. And thanks to the absence of child support payments for the last 6 weeks
I've spent nearly all of my refund already. That money was supposed to go towards my moving expenses later this year.

10. on the bright side
Moving expenses are deductible if:

You are moving more than 50 miles from your current residence to your new residence, and if you are getting a new job, that must also be more than 50 miles away from your old residence or old job location.

You will work at a new job for at least 39 weeks full time within one year from the move.

Moving expenses are deducted on the front page of the standard 1040, under "Adjustments To Income". Movng company charges, truck rentals, and lodging are all deductible, as well as mileage. Meals are not, however.

I'm moving because my building was sold and my new landlord upped the rent by 30%.

12. cripes!
I am not sure if that is a viable loophole, but if you're moving more than 50 miles away, go ahead and deduct next year. There is no restriction on why you're being moved, just distance and/or job.
