Well, that big bag of salt came handy this morning, needed it the melt the ice on the back deck. |

The whole deck was ice.
So this 10 lbs of salt in handy.
I had to get over to my 80 year neighbors, had to salt their steps and porch.
It is still belowing freezing, I can hear pipes all over Houston freezing now.
I have my pipes covered under the house when the plumbing work was done.
Did it myself, double covered.
This cold can go, the weekend will warm up a little.

I'm in the Panhandle. Right now we're at 2 degrees but the weather thingy sez it feels like -32 - probably because of the 28MPH winds - and the light snow. Usually we get pretty cold here but this single digit/sub zero stuff for going on two weeks, that's unusual. We could actually use more snow but then, up here, moisture is always needed.
