I'm surprised I made it through today. I think I just showed up today so that no one would think I was trying to scam a three-day weekend.

I haven't been this sick in probably four years... :hangover:

Did you catch it from one of your patients?

Hope you feel better soon!

3. Very possibly...
Thank you, HG. I'd give you a , but I might be infectious...

7. HA! They're viral.
Dry cough, body aches, sinus congestion, fatigue.

No fever, night sweats, nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.

I'm dosing myself with DayQuil and NyQuil at the appropriate times. B-)

Oh well, give me a cyber  . Not infectious, and as good as any medicine... :P

8. Ok

Can't help but give you a little advice anyway...

Don't forget humidity (oh, yeah, you live in Seattle :P). And, green tea with a slice of fresh ginger root. Also, airborne helps me anyway... at the beginning stage of cold/sinus stuff.

Oh, and sugarfree Ricola cough drops.

Ok, I'm finished... for now. lol

9. Thank you. You know, I think I've got some green tea downstairs.
I'll have to see if it's decaf.

Don't have any fresh ginger root, though. Would powdered ginger work?

PM me if you want to...

10. I've only tried this "cure" with fresh ginger....
don't know if powered word work (doubt it).

11. Come to think of it, probably not.
In order to reduce it to powdered form, they probably have to take out everything that makes it an effective medicine.

12. Actually, you can still use the powdered form.
Here's a couple of sites to read, the first being remedies and the second being both remedies and botanical info :D

14. You're welcome
:D

Add some honey to it to take the edge off if it's too strong :)

2. I'd say that if you're thinking of not going in, then don't.
Once you start thinking about not going in, then getting the motivation to actually go in anyway is ten times as difficult ;)

I hope you feel better soon. It's rotten being sick for any reason

4. That doesn't usually happen with me. I really don't like calling my boss
and saying that I'm not coming in. I always worry that they're going to calculate my relative value to the company and act accordingly ...

My new boss is very nice, and I don't think he'd do that; but still, I am new, and I don't want to start calling in sick only four months in...

6. Thankfully, I've got a nice boss, too.
And they'll send me home if I don't initiate it first. I was sick on my fist day, but went in anyway, and then had to leave early to find a clinic. They didn't seem to mind, so long as they ended up with a healthier employee as a result.

Maybe call in and talk it over with your boss instead. Like if you can come in during the last half of the day or something like that :)

16. This isn't "starting to call on sick", this is being sick.
You gots the flew. It's not the kind of love you ought to be sharing. Get rest, drink the tea, sleeeeeeep. You'll get over it quicker and call in less later.

15. If you have something contagious, do your co-workers a favor
and stay home; don't spread what you've got. In fact, even if you're not contagious, stay home. You won't be very useful if you don't feel well.

17. Oh boy, my dear Aristus...
Please stay home...

Your patients are already sick, and they need a well person taking care of them...

And you need to rest!

Promise me you'll stay home, OK?

You also don't want to give this to your co-workers, now do you?

Take care, sweetie...

18. I called my boss to give him a heads-up that I might not be in tomorrow.
He advised "chicken soup and scotch." That's a new one...

Anyway, I'm starting to feel a little better.
