Poll question: Did the Brady's really need a maid?
I always wondered about why they kept Alice on? sure she was like a member of the family (but I don't remember her sitting down at the table and eating dinner with the Brady's).

The house wasn't a mansion. The kids seemed to have chores--at least keeping up their own rooms. Carol didn't work. Couldn't they have gotten rid of Alice and had one more bedroom for their large family (off the kitchen)along with the groovy bedroom in the attic?

1. Geez...
Six kids and they couldn't make them clean up?
I am an only child and I did ALL of the cleaning and cooking.
Isn't that what you have kids for?

10. thanks!
It is one of the first gifts I gave to my husband.
When we were dating, I printed it out for him to keep at his desk.

4. Yes
She was the housekeeper for the Dad and the boys, since Dad worked all day. When Mom, who didn't work, and the girls moved in they didn't want to lay Alice off, so they kept her around. Sounds liberal to me.

7. Face it, Carol Brady sat on her ass all day!!
Let's face it, Carol didn't work yet she never did anything around the house either. Alice did the cleaning, the laundry, most of the cooking, and had to go shopping WITH Carol.

Of course, the DID give her a little room with no visible windows. Where the hell was that room?? Under the stairway??

Bet the Brady's voted Republican, too!! :silly:

Maybe Oliver was really Carol's love child by Sam the Butcher!

8. I love your post
Alice's bedroom was off the kitchen next to the laundry room--but now that you mention it the one or two times they did show it I don't recall any windows.
